Skipticus - Australian Army

No team is complete without their mascot, and here is the Spartans very own touchline tormentor

Skipticus  – the official (and slightly unhinged) mascot of the Spartans Rugby Club. Born somewhere between the touchline and the team kit bag, Skipticus is a proud kangaroo with an elite sidestep, questionable ball skills, and an unmatched ability to turn up where food and beer is involved. While he’s yet to master passing without thumbs, he more than makes up for it with enthusiasm, loyalty, and a jump that would make most back-rowers nervous.

Skipticus takes his role very seriously: boosting morale, supervising warm-ups, intimidating the opposition with an intense stare, and reminding everyone that no matter how tough the game gets, there’s always room for a laugh. He represents everything the Spartans stand for - mateship, resilience, and turning up for your team - even if you occasionally arrive hopping in late.

We’re proud to have Skipticus in green and gold. Just don’t leave your beer unattended, its thirsty work being a mascot!
